The MultiView Navigator (MVN) is a powerful set of tools included with Libero IDE and Designer physical implementation tools. The MVN is multi-faceted user interface, where you can view, edit, and floorplan your design. All tools include automatic cross-probing, where edits made in any one view will automatically update the other views.

The MultiView Navigator interface includes:

  • A design components window, that shows a logical view, physical view, ports, nets, logical cones, and regions in the design
  • A NetlistViewer window, that presents a schematic view of your design. All points on the schematic are interactive in that you can click on a logic function, net, or port and view its respective I/Os and placement in the ChipPlanner View. Selecting a component such as a port or net in the components window automatically highlights that port or net in the schematic view.
  • A PinEditor window that displays the pin assignments and locations, and I/O macros assigned to the pins in your design. You can edit the pin assignments in this view. Pins can be locked to enable parallel development of the printed circuit board.
  • An I/O Attribute Editor window that displays a table of available I/O attributes for the selected FPGA family, and allows you to select specific attributes for your design such as I/O standard, I/O threshold, slew rate, power-up state, output load, and more.
  • A ChipPlanner that allows you to view and edit the I/O and logic macros locations in your design. You can use the ChipPlanner's floorplanning capability when you need to maximize control of your logic placements in order to optimize your design’s performance.

The MVN supports Fusion, IGLOO, ProASIC3L (excluding M1 variants), ProASIC3, ProASICPLUS, ProASIC, Axcelerator, SX-A, and eX families.
