Pigeon Point Systems, a privately held software and hardware development company, was founded in 1997 to focus on products and services supporting the adoption of open modular platforms to replace proprietary architectures, especially in the telecommunications market. This focus produced world-class expertise in the software aspects of CompactPCI hot swap and software components that were licensed by many leading CompactPCI vendors and by Microsoft for inclusion in Windows XP Embedded.
Today, Pigeon Point delivers world-class management components for modular platforms based on the AdvancedTCA, AdvancedMC and µTCA architectures to leading companies, worldwide. Our focus on providing dependable, proven solutions for the mandatory management controllers in these architectures allows our customers to concentrate on the value-add aspects of their products. Deep expertise on these architectures ensures compliance and interoperability in the components we deliver.
Pigeon Point participates actively in defining the open modular architectures that we target and is a leader in the specification development organizations that drive those architectures.
Pigeon Point Systems aims to be as valuable and dependable as our namesake—the Pigeon Point Light Station—that has protected shipping along the Central California coast for more than 130 years.
Products under development in partnership with Actel include ATCA IPMC Blade and ATCA AMC Carrier development kits using Actel's Fusion PSC.
Pigeon Point provides contract development services for products based on ATCA, AMC, and MicroTCA standards, as well as IPMI system management products.
