The company is a design house for ASIC, FPGA and ASSP devices and staffs
a high proportion of design engineers. ASIC Design Services is also the
South African distributor for Actel Corporation and Mentor Graphics Corporation.
PCILite is an Application Specific Standard Product (ASSP) that provides
a cost effective and Easy-to-Use interface to the PCI Bus. PCILite implements
a PCI Target and has an Intel like microprocessor back-end interface with
simple read, write and chip-select signals. The duration of these signals
is software programmable The device connects to peripherals through user
address and data busses. Additional user definable pins can act as either
inputs or outputs or can be programmed to be chip-selects. PCILite is available
in 8, 16 or 32 bit versions. PCILite can be tailored for custom requirements
or additional functional integration.
