Since its inception in 1995, Northwest Logic's mission has been to provide high-quality, cost-effective "To The Point Solutions" using a broad range of design services, products and system expertise.
The Northwest Logic design team averages more than 15 years of experience. Each of our designers has extensive design capabilities and system expertise along with a proven ability to manage and execute projects on-schedule and with-in budget.
We've combined the collective expertise of our design team with a strong corporate foundation to create a company which consistently, quickly and efficiently moves our customer's projects to a successful conclusion.

PCI Express
The PCI Express Core has been specifically designed for ease of use including:
- Hides the complexities and timing issues of the PCI Express bus from the user
- Built-in receive packet decoding simplifies user packet processing
- Flexible data buffer sizing enables memory usage to be optimized for each application
- Messages automatically processed and provided to user
- Supports user expansion of Configuration Space
- Complete error-handling support including error detection and automatic generation of error messages
- Comprehensive status port provides detailed access to internal core states and traffic accelerating design bring-up and validation
PCI Express Complete Core
The Northwest Logic PCI Express Complete Core combines the PCI Express Core and PCI Express Back-End to form a complete, easy-to-use PCI Express solution. The PCI Express Back-End implements a complete back-end design which includes:
- High-performance, multi-channel DMA Engine which can be easily connected to SDRAM and other data sources
- Complete Target Interface including packet decoding and generation of read completions while providing a simple user interface
- Very simple, fixed-timing Register Interface for connection to user registers
Using the PCI Express Complete Core eliminates the need for the user to implement their own back-end design significantly reducing development time and risk.
The PCI Express Back-End can also be licensed separately in source code enabling the user to customize it to their specific requirements.
