Wildcards in the get_ports command in SDC is incorrectly handled

Scenario:

 

 Using a wildcard in the get_ports command will return all pins that match the wildcard, not only ports
Symptoms:
  When setting a constraint in SDC using a wildcard with the get_ports command, the constraint will be applied to all pins that match the wildcard, not only the ports as intended.
Description:
  When setting constraints on [get_ports(s*)] all pins that start with “s” will be constrained, not only the ports that begins with “s.”
Solution/Workaround:
 

Be aware of this effect when using wildcards. Try to specify the port names more explicitly and or use a more specified wildcard so no unwanted pins match.
