SmartFusion

• MSS Enhancements — An updated SmartFusion MSS version (2.2.101) is available from the Libero IDE Catalog Repository. All existing designs in progress should be updated to version 2.2.101. Version 2.2.101 contains the following key software fixes which occur in previous versions:
  • An MSSPSEL timing delay was inadvertently included for the A2F500 device. This delay was removed in this release.
  • The Analog Compute Engine (ACE) configurator avoids using SSE RAM locations of 128 to 255 to avoid ACB address contention.   This logic is only applicable if performing current, differential voltage, or temperature samples.
  • MSS MAC and MSS I/O enhancement
    • If the MSS MAC RMII Data Interface is connected to the Fabric, users can now use the corresponding MSS I/Os for other purposes.
• A2F500 FAB_CCC use
  • Designer placement fails for CCCs when GL inputs are set as hardwired LVPECL IOs
  • Fabric (CORE, IO_CORE) to External Feedback EXTFB feature has been removed
  • Added a design rule check message for A2F500 FAB_CCC designs noting that the PLL is not available when using the FG256 package
• CLK_INT macro does not work in A2F500 design (SAR26718)

• FlashPro On-Chip Debug Libero IDE v9.0 SP2 introduces design debug features within FlashPro for the A2F500. FlashPro On-Chip Debug enables you to inspect specific software features within a programmed IGLOO, ProASIC3, SmartFusion, and Fusion family devices via the JTAG interface. FlashPro On-Chip Debug is launched using the Inspect Design button in the FlashPro software tool interface. On-Chip Debug features enable you to view the programmed contents of embedded FlashROM (eFROM), embedded nonvolatile memory (eNVM), and analog blocks to determine if the data is as expected. This feature is helpful for final design analysis prior to the FPGA system testing or production. Read the complete details.

RTAX-S/SL/ and RTAX-DSP

• In order to improve RTAX-S/SL/DSP SRAM access time, Libero IDE software, starting with v9.0SP2, changed the way SRAM blocks are accessed, with the benefit that coupling between address and data signals is reduced.

IGLOO nano

Programming file generation is enabled for the IGLOO nano AGLN125 device.

ProASIC3 nano

Programming file generation is enabled for the ProASIC3 nano A3PN060 device.

27065 - MSS ACE, ENVM, FROM Help buttons are not working.
The ACE, ENVM, UFROM configurator Help buttons are always grayed out in Libero IDE v9.0 SP2.

Workaround: The documents that should be accessible in the Help button can be accessed by:

1. Right-clicking the peripheral in the MSS configurator displays a MSS_xx Help menu
2. Selecting SmartFusion Microcontroller (MSS)Help from the MSS Configurator's "Help" menu
3. Going to the SmartFusion Documentation page.

FlashPro

27175 - FlashPro fails to import .mem files that are larger than 256K for A2F500.

Workaround: Import a .mem file larger than 256K with the SmartFusion MSS Configurator, then generate an EFC file by generating the MSS. Then import the EFC file into FlashPro. Some warnings may appear, which can be ignored.

Customers should refer to their respective Technical Support hotline case number. If a Software Action Request (SAR) was created for the case and it has been fixed in this Libero IDE release, the SAR and associated case number will be on the list below.
