(Jul 9, 2008)

Thank you for your interest in Actel's Libero Integrated Design Environment (IDE) v8.3 Service Pack 1.

What's New

Note: Bold text below are new to v8.3 SP1. All non-bold items were released in v8.3 pre-SP1 service packs.

  • Programming file generation is enabled for:
    • IGLOO AGL015, AGL060, AGL250, AGLE600, and AGL1000
    • IGLOO PLUS AGLP030, AGLP125
    • ProASIC3L A3P250L
    • ProASIC3 A3P015
    • Fusion M1AFS250
    • Fusion P1AFS600 and P1AFS1500
    • Fusion U1AFS250 and U1AFS600
  • FlashPro v8.3 SP1 enables programming for the above devices.
  • New Packages
    • CS289: IGLOO PLUS AGLP030 V2/V5, AGLP060 V2/V5, and AGLP125 V2/V5 devices
    • CS281: IGLOO AGL1000 V2/V5 devices
  • ProASIC3E A3PE600 devices must take advantage of a data update. Existing .adb files will be invalidated up to routing. You must run incremental route and re-run programming file generation and program with v8.3 SP1. FlashPro v8.3 SP1 will not allow existing programming files to be used. There may be a performance and power degradation of 5 to 10%.
  • Analog System Builder enhancement for Fusion
    • The Analog System Builder AB input function has been made more robust to ensure appropriate time is allowed for the internal VREF (VAREF) to stabilize. Existing designs should have the Analog System Builder core regenerated and a new netlist created. See the VAREF Pin Description of the Fusion Datasheet for more information.
  • Fusion designs must be updated to utilize new common files for the Calibration IP. The Fusion Calibration IP has been updated to detect the busy signal de-assertion in a more robust manner. The Analog System Builder core should be regenerated and a new netlist created. (75812)
  • Existing IGLOO, IGLOOe, and ProASIC3L programming files may be invalidated due to a Flash*Freeze update. A warning message will be shown if the invalidation is necessary, and the programming file would need to be regenerated. (75589)
  • Libero IDE v8.3 SP1 (Linux) installation requires a permissions change. After Libero IDE is installed, there are three different folders that are created:
    1. Libero
    2. Model
    3. Synplify
Enter the Libero folder and change permission with the following command:
    chmod -Rf 775 *
The change will automatically be updated in all sub-folders. It may take a few moments to change the permissions recursively.
