Libero IDE v8.2 Service Pack 2 (SP2) Release Notes

Thank you for your interest in Actel's Libero Integrated Design Environment (IDE) v8.2 Service Pack 2.

What's New

This Service Pack provides programming file generation for Fusion AFS090, ProASIC3 A3PE3000, and IGLOO AGLE3000. Also, FlashPro v6.2 SP2 is required to program these devices.

New Known Limitations, Issues and Workarounds

Unless otherwise noted, these issues apply to all devices.

  75410 – You can not import an existing ProASIC3 DirectCore into a new ProASIC3L project
If you generate a DirectCore in Libero v8.3 within a ProASIC3L project and save it, and then try to import it in to another ProASIC3L project, you will get a message that the core must be regenerated. The core will not regenerate. You must create/generate the core as a new core.

74595 – Fusion M1/AFS1500 adb with calibration will be invalidated to pre-Compile state
Existing AFS1500 or M1AFS1500 designs that include the Calibration IP feature will be invalidated to pre-compiled state by this SP2 service pack. The Fusion Calibration IP feature was announced in Libero IDE/Designer v8.2 SP1.

Details:

On opening the existing adb, the following message will be shown:

Calibration IP is used in this design. Compile is invalidated due to updates in Calibration IP Settings. You need to re-compile your design.

You can use incremental fix place and incremental route to maintain the maximum floor-planning in the previous design.

74597 - Programming State will be invalidated for existing Fusion M1/AFS1500 designs
Existing AFS1500 or M1AFS1500 designs (No Calibration IP feature Used) that have Programming State already completed will be invalidated in 8.2SP2 release. The Fusion Calibration IP feature was announced in Libero IDE/Designer v8.2 SP1.

Details:

Any AFS1500 or M1AFS1500 designs that are not using Calibration IP feature and have Programming State already completed will be invalidated in v8.2 SP2 release. On opening the adb, user will be given the following message:

Programming file is invalidated due to incorrect NVM physical addressing during programming file generation. Regenerate programming file.

74199 – When the Fusion Calibration IP feature is used targeting M1AFS or M7AFS devices and using Libero IDE/Designer v8.2SP1, an assertion error occurs in the "urcgdevtranslt" file during Compile.

This issue is fixed in this SP2 release.
