    Download Options and Instructions
    • Web Install – Download a small EXE file to your local machine. Launch the web install EXE and choose the components that you would like to install. Internet access is required during installation. Maximum downloaded file size (1.4 GB) depends on selected components.
    • ALL SOFTWARE EXE † (1.3 GB) – Download an all-inclusive installation EXE file to your local machine. Launch the EXE to install the components locally. Internet access is not required during installation.
    • ALL SOFTWARE ZIP † (1.3 GB) – Download a zipped all-inclusive EXE file to your local machine. Extract the ZIP file, launch the EXE, and install the components locally. Internet access is not required during installation.

    † This option should not be used on Windows XP x64 OS machines without modifying the Control Panel administrative settings as noted in the Libero IDE v9.0 Release Notes.

  • Libero IDE v9.0 requires a Libero IDE v9.0 Eval, Gold, or Platinum license. Register for a free Libero IDE Evaluation or Gold license, or contact your local Actel sales office to purchase a Libero IDE Platinum license. If you have an existing unexpired license, you can go to your Portal account and download an updated license.
    1. Obtain the software ID of your existing installed license
    2. Look for that same software ID on your Portal license list
    3. Click the Download button
    4. Replace your existing license with your new one
  • You should NOT install a new version of Libero IDE (e.g., v9.0) into the same directory as a currently installed version of Libero IDE (e.g., v8.6). Doing so will damage existing design files. Install the new version of Libero IDE into a new directory, and then use the new version of Libero IDE to open the previously generated project. Actel recommends that you install each version of Libero IDE into a unique directory name, corresponding to the Libero IDE version number. Service Packs (SPs) are patches for a given version and must be installed on top of the intended version.
