- You should NOT install a new
version of Libero IDE (e.g., v8.3) into the same directory as a currently
installed version of Libero IDE (e.g., v8.2). Doing so will damage existing
design files. Install the new version of Libero IDE into a
new directory, and then use the new version of Libero IDE to open the
previously generated project. Actel recommends that you install each
version of Libero IDE into a unique directory name, corresponding to the
Libero IDE version number. Service Packs (SPs) are patches for a given
version and must be installed on top of the intended version.
