Silicon Sculptor v4.64.0 Windows Release Notes
(Apr 20, 2007)
Silicon Sculptor Windows v4.64.0 is a new general release of the Silicon Sculptor software for supporting both the Silicon Sculptor II and Silicon Sculptor 3 programmer. The Silicon Sculptor 3 programmer is a hi-speed USB 2.0 based programmer. This release adds support for several new ProASIC3 devices as well as a new die/package combination for Axcelerator.
New in this release is a flexibility improvement to allow for multiple installations. The structure of the installation path has been slightly modified. Previously it was ".../Actel/SculptW" and now it is ".../Actel/SculptW 4.64.0/SculptW". This applies to both the start menu and actual install location on disk. From this release forward, the installation path will always take this new form. The advantage of this change is that, when there are future releases of the software, customers will be able to have multiple release version installed on the same machine and be easily able to switch between different versions rather than having to uninstall and reinstall for purposes of running a particular patch. This benefit only applies to this and future releases of the Silicon Sculptor software.
This release features everything in the v4.62.2 general release, as well as additional items.
Actel recommends upgrading to the latest version of the Silicon Sculptor software.
Note
RT54SX-S and RTSX-SU
Starting with the v4.50.0 release and including all subsequent releases,
RT54SX-S and RTSX-SU products require the Silicon Sculptor II programmer
to program. Programming of RT54SX-S and RTSX-SU products with Silicon
Sculptor I has been discontinued.
SX-A
Starting with the v4.53.0 release and all subsequent releases, programming
enhancement to SX-A devices is implemented with the enhancement previously
included in RT54SX-S and RTSX-SU devices. For all SX-A devices, new
AFMs are available with the Libero IDE/Designer v6.2 SP1 release. The
v4.53.0 release of Silicon Sculptor software can take advantage of
these AFMs by automatically using new programming conditions previously
only available in the RadTolerant family of devices. Older AFMs may
continue to be used and the software will automatically use the older
programming conditions in this case. Silicon Sculptor II must be used
to program with these new enhancements. A reduced but enhanced set
of programming conditions is used for programming all SX-A devices
on Silicon Sculptor I programmers.
