Silicon Sculptor v4.62.1 Windows Release Notes

Silicon Sculptor Windows v4.62.1 is a new general release of the Silicon Sculptor software for supporting both the Silicon Sculptor II and Actel's new Silicon Sculptor 3 programmers. This release features important updates and features of the 4.62.0 general release, and includes two new items. Firstly, new support has been added for the A3P400-FG256 ProASIC3 device. Secondly, a significant programming improvement has been made to all 42MX parts resulting in enhanced yield.
Actel does recommend that customers upgrade to the latest version of
software.
Note
RT54SX-S and RTSX-SU
Starting with the v4.50.0 release and including all subsequent releases,
RT54SX-S and RTSX-SU products require the Silicon Sculptor II programmer
to program. Programming of RT54SX-S and RTSX-SU products with Silicon
Sculptor I has been discontinued.
SX-A
Starting with the v4.53.0 release and all subsequent releases, programming
enhancement to SX-A devices is implemented with the enhancement previously
included in RT54SX-S and RTSX-SU devices. For all SX-A devices, new
AFMs are available with the Libero IDE/Designer v6.2 SP1 release. The
v4.53.0 release of Silicon Sculptor software can take advantage of
these AFMs by automatically using new programming conditions previously
only available in the RadTolerant family of devices. Older AFMs may
continue to be used and the software will automatically use the older
programming conditions in this case. Silicon Sculptor II must be used
to program with these new enhancements. A reduced but enhanced set
of programming conditions is used for programming all SX-A devices
on Silicon Sculptor I programmers.

- Pentium 133 or higher (Pentium 200 or higher recommended) processor
- 64 MB of available memory for use
- 50 MB of available hard disk space
- VGA or higher-resolution video adapter (SVGA 256-color and 800x600
or higher resolution recommended)
- For Windows 2000 and Windows XP systems, you must have administration
rights to the local workstation for installation purposes.
One new device has been added to this release:
- ProASIC3
- A3P400-FG256 support has been added
- SARno62415: A3P400-FG256 support has been added
- SARno61637: Improvement to programming of 42MX devices
- An accuracy improvement in current measurement during programming results in fewer antifuses being driven to failure. At the end of programming, the part is fully screened for successful programming of all antifuses, with no changes to previously used end-of-programming test mechanisms. With less failures being generated, this programming improvement will naturally result in significantly improved programming yield.
- Parts successfully programmed with earlier versions of the software have passed the standard end-of-programming tests and remain good, although lower programming yield would have been observed.
