Silicon Sculptor v3.90 DOS and v4.53.0 Windows Release Notes
(Aug 15, 2005)
Silicon Sculptor DOS v3.90 and Windows v4.53.0 is a new general release
of the Silicon Sculptor software. This release features support for updated
programming modules for APA devices, namely SMPA-256FG-ACTEL-1 and SMPA-144FG-ACTEL-1.
This release features programming changes to SX-A devices that were
previously included in RT54SX-S devices. For all SX-A devices, new AFMs
are available with the Libero/Designer 6.2 SP1 release. This v4.53.0
release of Silicon Sculptor software can take advantage of these AFMs
by automatically using new programming conditions previously only available
in the Rad Tolerant family of devices. Older AFMs may continue to be
used and the software will automatically use the older programming conditions
in this case.
Note: Starting with the v4.50.0 release and including
all subsequent releases, RT54SX-S and RTSX-SU products now require Silicon
Sculptor II programmer to program. Programming RT54SX-S and RTSX-SU products
with Silicon Sculptor I has been discontinued. Starting with the v4.53.0
release a reduced but enhanced set of programming conditions is used
for programming all SX-A devices on Silicon Sculptor I programmers.
v3.90 DOS
- Windows 98, Second Edition
v4.53.0 Windows
- Windows 2000 with SP1, SP2, SP3, or SP4
- Windows XP with SP1 or SP2
- Pentium 133 or higher (Pentium 200 or higher recommended) processor
- 64 MB of available memory for use
- 50 MB of available hard disk space
- VGA or higher-resolution video adapter (SVGA 256-color and 800x600
or higher resolution recommended)
- For Windows 2000 and Windows XP systems, you must have administration
rights to the local workstation for installation purposes.
- Support added for programming SX-A devices with new programming conditions
provided AFMs from Designer 6.2 SP1 are used.
- SARno47501: Add support for SMPA-144FG-ACTEL-1 module
- SARno47502: Add support for SMPA-256FG-ACTEL-1 module
- SARno46049: Updated programming conditions for all SX-A devices
- SARno47594: Updated programming conditions for all RTSX-SU
- A54SX32A-BGA329 changed to A54SX32A-BG329 (device name update).
- SARno48598: SSI fails checksum on device with algo rev
When doing "checksum" on a Silicon Sculptor I, if the device
has an algo rev programmed into it (e.g. SX-A device programmed with
updated AFM on Silicon Sculptor II), the checksum will fail because
it reads the algo rev data as part of the checksum.
- SARno48640: Old programming conditions reports blank for secured
device.
Using a secured SX-A device: when an old AFM is loaded, the software
will report that the device is blank. When a new version of the AFM
is loaded (with the software using the latest programming conditions),
the software correctly reports that the device is non-blank.
