Silicon Sculptor v3.81 DOS and v4.44.0 Windows Release Notes
(Jul 29, 2004)
Silicon Sculptor DOS v3.81 and Windows v4.44.0 combine all the features
and support of previous releases of the software with new algorithms
for SX-A and RTSX-S parts. The new algorithms are applicable to old and
new parts alike and will improve the programming performance.
v3.81 DOS
- Windows 98, Second Edition
v4.44.0
- Windows NT 4.0 with SP5 or SP6
- Windows 2000 with SP1 or SP2 or SP3 or SP4
- Windows XP with SP1
- Pentium 133 or higher (Pentium 200 or higher recommended) processor
- 64 MB of available memory for use
- 50 MB of available hard disk space
- VGA or higher-resolution video adapter (SVGA 256-color and 800x600
or higher resolution recommended)
- For NT 4.0, Windows 2000 and Windows XP systems, you must have administration
rights to the local workstation for installation purposes.
Silicon Sculptor software now has support for the following
devices:
- AX2000-CQ352
- AX2000-CG624
- AX500-CQ208
- RT54SX72S-CG624
- SARno37374: SX-A & RTSX-S algorithm update
for MEC devices
- SARno38553: Broadcast Programming will fail if a
mixture of MEC SX-A and UMC SX-A parts are programmed.
Workaround: The user should ensure that only MEC or only UMC
are programmed in broadcast mode. MEC parts have a wafer lot number
starting with "T" and UMC parts have a wafer lot number starting
with "D", e.g. T25K061 is a MEC lot. The lot number is shown
on the FPGA package.
- SARno38428: b62bd05f device ID not recognized for
A54SX32A-1CQ256X55.
- SARno36993: When using a SMPA-456BG-2 adapter module
an unknown exception error will infrequently occur. This appears to
occur most when switching devices.
- SARno29998: The stand-alone secure command does
not function. When you secure the device (lock or permanent lock),
the error message,
"Action Name Invalid" appears. This is intended behavior.
- SARno30695: In Silicon Sculptor software 3.75 DOS
(16 bit), the self-test is failing for all SMPA modules.
Workaround: The self-test does not fail on any modules. The
ISP module self-test gives the following message, "Testing Current
regulators: You must install SM48D or SM48DB before continuing."
After you install the SM48D or SM48DB module, the self-test continues.
- SARno30558: In Windows, the Path + Filename doesn't
always fit into the text field.
- Design Name Readback for Flash devices - support
for this feature through STAPL programming will be available in a future
version of the software.
