Silicon Sculptor v3.80 DOS and v4.43.0 Windows Release Notes
(Apr 9, 2004)
Silicon Sculptor DOS v3.80 and Windows v4.43.0 combine all the features
and support of previous releases of the software with support for new
packages in the APA600 series.
v3.80 DOS
- Windows 98, Second Edition
v4.43.0
- Windows NT 4.0 with SP5 or SP6
- Windows 2000 with SP1 or SP2 or SP3 or SP4
- Windows XP with SP1
- Pentium 133 or higher (Pentium 200 or higher recommended) processor
- 64 MB of available memory for use
- 50 MB of available hard disk space
- VGA or higher-resolution video adapter (SVGA 256-color and 800x600
or higher resolution recommended)
- For NT 4.0, Windows 2000 and Windows XP systems, you must have administration
rights to the local workstation for installation purposes.
Silicon Sculptor software now has support for the following
devices:
- APA600-CQ352
- APA600-CQ208
Silicon Sculptor software now:
- Automatically adds a reset before programming the P-fuse in all AX
devices
- New "Device Status" command for AX/S lists Checksum, P-fuse
status, security status and silicon signature (User ID)
- SARno34750: Software now stops user from using
an RTSX AFM file for programming an RTSXS part
- SARno36226: AX2000 Blankcheck, VPP now changed so
that VPP=1.0V
- SARno36993: When using a SMPA-456BG-2 adapter module
an unknown exception error will infrequently occur. This appears to
occur most when switching devices.
- SARno29998: The stand-alone secure command does
not function. When you secure the device (lock or permanent lock),
the error message,
"Action Name Invalid" appears. This is intended behavior.
- SARno30695: In Silicon Sculptor software 3.75 DOS
(16 bit), the self-test is failing for all SMPA modules.
Workaround: The self-test does not fail on any modules. The
ISP module self-test gives the following message, "Testing Current
regulators: You must install SM48D or SM48DB before continuing."
After you install the SM48D or SM48DB module, the self-test continues.
- SAR 30558: In Windows, the Path + Filename doesn't
always fit into the text field.
- Design Name Readback for Flash devices - support for this feature
through STAPL programming will be available in a future version of
the software.
- ChainBuilder "CheckChain" action does not work: overshifting
error, and lack of POWER_DOWN function.
