End Of Support for Windows 2000 Silicon Sculptor v5.18.0 will be the last Silicon Sculptor software release to support Windows 2000. The end of Silicon Sculptor support on Windows 2000 is required in order to add support for 64-bit operating systems. Any attempt to install Silicon Sculptor releases after v5.12.1 while running Windows 2000 will result in an installation failure. Alternatively, customers should be advised to upgrade to any of the compatible operating systems: Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7. Any version of Silicon Sculptor v5.12.1 or earlier, will continue to operate with Windows 2000, but Microsemi requires users to program devices with the most recent version of software.
Note: This is the last available release that supports DOS operating system. By using this version, you will not be taking advantage of the many updates since this release. Therefore, Actel recommends that you use this version only if DOS is your only operating system.
