The steps below describe how to install the Silicon Explorer 3.0 Update
1. It is assumed that you have already installed Silicon Explorer 3.0
software. If this is not the case, please install
Silicon Explorer 3.0 first, then follow the directions below to load
Update 1.
- Click on the link below to copy the se30p1pc.exe file
to your <Silicon Explorer 3.0>/Scripts/Actel directory.
Typically, this directory is located under C:/Program Files/Silicon
Explorer 3.0
- Open a DOS shell and change to your <Silicon Explorer
3.0>/Scripts/Actel directory.
- Execute the update by typing the following command at the command
prompt:
This will overwrite the existing .ini file for each Actel family.
- The 54SX probe file generated by Designer Series R3-1998 and R1-1999
includes a listing for the I/O buffers and HCLK. This means they will
appear to be probe-able like all other internal nodes. However, 54SX
I/O buffers and HCLK are not designed to be probed and no data will
be returned if they are chosen from the list of available nets. This
oversight will be corrected in the R2-1999 version of Actel's Designer
software.
- This update does not include the Silicon Explorer's self test. The
self test will be included in version 4.0 of the Silicon Explorer software.
