Silicon Explorer Software Version 3.0 Release Notes
Silicon Explorer 3.0 for Windows 95/NT is the latest version of software
for the Silicon-Explorer and Silicon Explorer-Lite products. New features
added:
- Silicon Explorer is now fully Windows 95/NT compliant.
- Silicon Explorer now supports the 54SX family.
- Silicon Explorer now reads the device checksum.
- Silicon Explorer is now integrated and independent from Designer
Series Software.
Minimum Required Software: Designer Series version
R3-1998
Do not download or install Silicon Explorer version 3.0 if you do not
have Designer Series version R3-1998.
A Probe file (.prb file) is used by the Silicon Explorer 3.0 software
to perform debugging. The probe file can only be exported from Designer
Series version R3-1998 or later. To export a .prb file from Designer,
select the Export command from the file menu, then choose Auxiliary File
as the File Type and Probe as the Type.
(Designer Series R3-1998 install CD also contains the Silicon Explorer
version 3.0 software. To install the software from the CD ROM , double
click "setup.exe" in the "Silicon Explorer 3.0" directory.)
Note: Verify that the installed version of Designer is version R3-1998
prior to installing this update.
Run the executable to extract the necessary set up files.
Run "setup.exe" in the "Silicon Explorer 3.0" directory.
