New Features and Enhancements

The SP1 Service Pack enhances Analyze Chain. In FlashPro v3.1, the chain analysis failed if a chain of devices had some devices that did not return a Device ID code. The SP1 Service Pack corrects this issue. Now devices such as JTAG buffer chips, which typically do not return a Device ID, no longer prevent programming with FlashPro.

  • 32813, 32404, 32397: If a board had devices in the JTAG chain that did not return a Device ID, and there was more than one such device, you could not complete programming. With this issue now resolved, you can use ChainBuilder generated STAPL files even when there is more than once device in the chain that does not return a Device ID.

Running Self-Test with earlier versions of FlashPro gives an error message. Please upgrade the firmware for your FlashPro unit.

32614: Appears to hang on Analyze Chain with an incomplete chain.

FlashPro v3.1 does not support the USB port on the FlashPro hardware. Do not use the USB port on the FlashPro hardware because this results in extremely slow speeds. This issue will be resolved in FlashPro v3.2.
